Defining Contemporary Decor

For some of us, contemporary style for “decoration” evokes thoughts of George Jetson and his family, moving rapidly through its ultra modern and automated home. In fact, interior design contemporary, stylish, clean and smooth, it can make a design statement colorful and dramatic that it is an interesting mixture of textures, colors and features.

If you like clean lines, smooth surfaces, bright colors and natural elements, contemporary interior design could be the creative expression of lifestyle for you. Neutral colors will be your choice for walls, but a bold accent color or two are suitable for walls accent that matches your overall design scheme. You want to use colors to create a drama. For example, if your walls are neutral backdrop, you can choose a sofa that is bright red. Your pieces are not aligned models employed, and in fact may be no pattern in space, except for a carpet on strike or works of art on the wall. To create more contrast in the region, you may decide to use a small amount of black as a dramatic accent.

While clean lines are indicative of the contemporary decor, unique geometric shapes are very comfortable in this environment. This could take the form of sculptures, decorative pieces or a one-of-a-kind chair. Complementing these are the straight lines of the other parts in the region as a Scandinavian-style sofa. Components such as coffee tables and end tables can be a wooden base with stainless steel or chrome, and of course, is clean and elegant aligned. The tone of the wood is selected, whether light, dark or something in between, will be held throughout the area of coherence.
